Winter Wonder Land

I took this image yesterday after sunset of the woods behind my pond with the Gigapan Epic Pro. It’s made up of 225 photos, 9 columns, 5 rows, and 5 exposures. The final panorama is ~270 megapixels, 26805 x 10060 or 89.35″ x 33.53″ @ 300dpi if printed at full size. Shot with a Nikon D700 at 200mm, f/8, ISO 800, and 5 exposures of 1/40 to 1 second in 1.3 EV steps to cover the dynamic range of the rapidly diminishing light after sunset, although I only needed the three brightest exposures. Stitched with Autopano Giga to get consistent exposure throughout the panorama. The effective field of view and depth of field is similar to a cropped image from a 35mm lens @ f/1.4.
